How to eat at Ichiran (ramen)

Step by step

1. 01

   Ticket machine

   Buy a ramen ticket at the machine by the entrance. Extra toppings and kaedama (extra noodles) too. Mostly cash, though some stores take cards.

2. 02

   Take a booth

   Seats are individual dividers ("flavor concentration counters"). A board shows which are free, and staff guide you.

3. 03

   Fill in the order sheet

   Choose noodle firmness, richness, oiliness, garlic, green onion, and the secret-sauce spice level. Multilingual sheets exist. Unsure? Pick "basic" for everything.

4. 04

   Hand them over

   When the curtain in front of you opens, give the staff your meal ticket and order sheet.

5. 05

   Extra noodles

   Order kaedama with the table sheet and the button. Water/tea is self-serve.
